Coach Justin Bowen

“If it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you.”

Coach Justin Bowen frequently uses this mantra to drive his players to excellence both on and off the court. And it works!

His Whitney Young teams won the 2017 4A Boys State Championship and they were the runner-up in 2018 with Coach Bowen serving as Associate Head Coach.
Along with being the Founder and CEO of GOAT Sports Academy in Chicago, he’s currently Head Varsity Coach at Kenwood Academy High School.
Players love learning from him because they know he’s played at the highest levels, having played at the University of Illinois at Chicago and spending time with the San Antonio Spurs and Chicago Bulls after graduation.
Parents and players also love the way he mixes motivation with encouragement, so that players leave with major breakthroughs in skills AND confidence.
