From Tears to Cheers: Managing Separation Anxiety and Building School Readiness
For 3- and 4-year-olds, going from “always next to a parent” to “independent explorer” is a huge psychological leap. When it’s time to drop them off at a new class or camp, separation anxiety in toddlers and preschoolers can make a sudden, tearful appearance.
At KEVA Sports Center in Middleton, we don’t see separation anxiety as a barrier. We see it as a completely normal stage of child development, and one that families across Middleton and the greater Madison area work through every day.
